Sonia grew up begging her parents to grab her a book at Kepler's every Sunday morning. Now, she is thrilled to tell people that she has impressed her past self by being the one behind the counter. When she's not in the store, you can find her at school (go Bears!), captivated by literary fiction, watching reality TV, or writing for the M-A Chronicle.

Written as if you are reading the script of a documentary, Daisy Jones & The Six is my favorite book of the spring! Reid sets the stage perfectly in the 70s for you to watch Daisy's band on the rise and their mysterious fall. This is a great (fictional) read if you love music! ~Sonia

Nothing to See Here helps readers work through the common moral dilemma- what do you do if your friend from high school calls out of the blue to ask if you can take care of her new kids that light on fire? Lillian takes the challenge head-on in this sweet and imaginative story. ~Sonia

I picked this up almost by accident while looking for books to read over the summer, and was happily surprised to find a delightful world written through short stories! Kawakami blends small-town drama perfectly with otherworldly powers, and I loved learning more about the residents of this unusual neighborhood with each page. ~Sonia

This is certainly a strange book, but I have to say - I read it once when I was thirteen and then again last month - and it just gets more fascinating as I get older. The mysterious Bokonon religion leads John on a great adventure with his surprising karass (group of spiritually connected people). This is creative and different from anything I have ever read! --Sonia

I went into this with the expectation that it would be darkly funny and compelling, and I was not disappointed! I loved being drawn into the main character's intriguing mind as she tries to isolate herself from the world for a year using pills prescribed by her under-qualified therapist. --Sonia

I don't care how old I get, I will always have time for my thousandth re-read of The Phantom Tollbooth. Clever Milo always gets me out of a reading slump and his adventures will put you in touch with your adventurous inner child! --Sonia

Looking for Alaska made me cry, and that's a RARE privilege for a book to earn. Big shoutout to Alaska and Miles for making me want to read for "10 more minutes" about 40 times. --Sonia

This is one of the most unique books I have read in a long time. Eleanor has such a fresh and different voice, and she really changed my outlook on my own life. Absolutely a wonderful read, and if you don't like it I will be shocked (because my mom and I both liked it.) --Sonia

House on Mango Street is beautiful in every way. I was touched by the images and emotions each short story stirred up in me, and wanted more as soon as I finished the last page. --Sonia

The Martian Chronicles are guaranteed to have you thinking about the stories Bradbury has spun at least 3 years later (trust me, I know from personal experience). His version of Mars is spooky, fascinating, and each word will draw you further in. --Sonia

This is another superhero against my book slump villains! When I remember Meg Murry, Charles Wallace, and their adventures into strange worlds, I immediately want to drop whatever I'm doing and crack open another book. This is a classic and a necessity to have on your shelf! --Sonia

In middle school, my brother read Stephen Pastis like a lullaby to my whole family every night, causing my dad to laugh to the point of tears at (no joke) almost every page. The legend of Timmy Failure has never left my mind, and this is a perfect pick for anyone looking for a fun read. --Sonia
