Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
If you know who will die and you know who will kill her, do you still want to find out why? Of course we do and Elizabeth George shows us all the desperation, pain, and squalor that leads a 12-year-old boy to kill one of her much loved characters. A beautifully written tale of hardship and inevitability, the characters are believable, compelling, and will haunt you. And of course will leave you raging at the inability of society to tackle the problems of poverty and gang-related crime. A very different novel for George but certainly one of her best. --Angela M.
