Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
Sophie Kinsella did not disappoint with her latest novel Twenties Girl. Lara and Sadie make a great pair. Sadie is being haunted by her 105 year old great aunt. Sadie is one of those characters that will stay with you throughout the book. You can’t help but love her! She is stuck in the 1920’s, complete with flapper dresses and short bobbed hair. Sophie Kinsella manages to make being haunted by your great aunt fun! Sadie convinces her great niece Lara to do all sorts of things while on a quest for a lost necklace. You will be entertained by the constant trouble the pair gets into. Well, the trouble that Lara gets into, as no one else can see Sadie! You can almost hear the 20’s music playing in the background as you read. There are great learning moments and some heartfelt points as they learn about each other. I was a little hesitant when I read the jacket flap describing the book as one about a ghost, but boy is it different than I thought! It is a light, fun, easy to read book that you won’t be able to put down!! Reviewed by Leigh Ann F |
