Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
Theodore Boone, age 13, dreams of becoming a trial lawyer. He knows the legal process, is familiar with the local courthouse, and chats with all the judges. Theo's knowledge is so well known that his classmates seek him out for legal advice.
A wealthy resident of the town goes on trail for strangling his wife. Everyone thinks that he is guilty, but the evidence against him is circumstantial. Theo uncovers an eyewitness who can place the accused at the scene of the crime. But he promises to keep the identity of the person confidential. Should Theo come forward? Or should he let the accused walk? A classic Grisham for 10-13 year olds. Reviewed by Josephine |
