Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
We all have our Everest. Runners it might be a marathon, climbers the actual Everest, but for us knitters our challenge is sometimes not as easily laid out in front of us, or as well understood by others. Adrienne has found her Everest, a Mary Tudor sweater that is printed in a hard to find, out of print book, whose yarn is no longer even available commercially. We will learn the adventures of finding out that a mere skein of yarn can go for well over a hundred dollars, that making a Starmore is a status symbol of your knitting skills, and that knitters have some of the best (though outsiders would call it odd) support systems.
Fly with her as she brings us in on her life as a free lance writer, a
mother of two under the age of five, a wife, and her conversations with knitting
celebrity Stephanie Pearl-McPhee, as she takes on a highly challenging piece of
art in a year! -- Christian SD. |
