If anyone had told me I’d spend this year raving about historical romances, I wouldn’t have believed them. And yet, here’s Tessa Dare adding another historical series to my must-read list. Surrender of a Siren is a delightful shipboard romance that dares to actually describe the less delightful parts of crossing an ocean, but still keeps the romance light and fun. Sophia, the titular siren, is a free spirited artist who may not have thought her cunning escape plan all the way through. Still, you’ll find yourself rooting for her and her beloved ex-pirate as they slowly make their way to love in the tropics. Sarah L. |
