Fifteen-year old twins, Jade and Rich, move back to England from New York with their mother. Three weeks later, she dies in a car accident. With nowhere left to turn, an old family friend contacts their father, who had no idea he had any children. His job is complicated and dangerous and yes, he's a spy although of course he can't tell the twins. So he hopes to find a good school for them, finish up his mission, and then get to know them. The story involves a stolen fuel sample, a Russian oil baron, a beautiful spy, kidnapping, fantastic escapes, and lots of action. The bad guys are James Bond style bad, the good guys so very brave. So--would you try to rescue the father you have just met? This fast paced thriller is for all those Horowitz and Higson fans looking for their next fix. Just remember to start it when you don't have any other claims on your time!
