Sixteen-year-old Gemma has been taken, stolen away
while on a stopover at Bangkok Airport with an ease that’s paralyzing

Ty. It is set in the desolate Australian outback where the silence beats
down on you like an ongoing procession of war drums. Lucy Christopher
guides you through a vast ocean of blinding white heat, where you feel
as small as a grain of sand. As you read Gemma's words, you begin to
feel as if you've been taken too. You struggle with the heat, you question
your faith and if there is any use in hope at all. The complexities of
