I was blown away by this book. Simple, everyday living by a local parapalegic, living in my own neighborhood. It is told with honesty, dignity and self deprecating humor.
Michael K. is still trying to save Earth from
being "turned off" (well, who wants a world with no TV, radio and the
Internet?) and Agent Umber from the AAA (Anti-Alien Agency) is still
trying to find the aliens he believes are living close by (when not on
Chicken Duty, but that's another story). But this time Michael tells
fellow students, Venus and TJ, about aliens, Bob and Jennifer, and the
multi-lingual hamster, Major Fluffy. So he has much needed help to get
the required 3.14 million and one Earth people to become Spaceheadz in
one (albeit alien) hour. Not to mention that they have to help the
kindergarten class with their play version of Red Riding Hood while
hoping the significant electric event did not trigger any interest in
the AAA.
This is laugh out loud, snort coke through your nose funny and shouldn't be missed. --Angela M.
