The Septembers of Shiraz - Kepler's Staff Review

This novel takes place in Iran shortly after the deposition of the Shah. All the citizens that served the Shah are now suspect in the eyes of the new government. Isaac Amin is just such a man. Not politically minded, just a gemologist that made jewelry for the Shah’s family. This is a story about his imprisonment and how that affected his family in Iran. Trust is a scarce commodity in the Middle East.
