Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
A friend of mine says that real horror is when someone takes you by the hand and walks you into a deep, dark wood. Everything will be fine, they say. You'll be safe, they say. And then they let go of your hand. These stories don't rely on easy terror. They exude a creeping unease, a distressing tendency to make you believe. This could happen to you, they say; and they say it with wit, intelligence, even beauty. They're daring. They race across a spectrum of fine imaginations -- Neil Gaiman, Stephen King, Kelly Link, Dan Chaon -- and they turn over the shadows in your head, making it clear that they are much deeper, and much scarier, than you ever imagined.
