Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
On a stormy night, five year old Ian Wigby wakes suddenly in his orphanage home above the white cliffs of Dover. He creeps out of bed to witness the delivery at the door of a toddler. Caught awake after hours, he is summoned by the ladies who run the orphanage to see the child and receive his punishment: He is to take care of the child as he would a sister for the rest of his life. To bind them together, it is Wigby who must give the child its name. He names her Theodosia. Eight years later Ian and Theo, who love to explore together, find a silver box in the tunnels beneath the cliffs. Too late they discover it contains a prophecy that will unleash a great beast to hunt them down. Theo has for years had visions - this time what she sees is terrifying: "The great wolf will rise from the east and sweep down upon us, bearing his crooked black cross on a sea of blood! He'll call himself the fury..." There are forces at work that defy man and nature, and only by working together can Ian and Theo discover the truth and save themselves and the world.
The plots twine together around, you guessed it, the school science fair, but not before the FBI, high tech treason, and possibly murderously mad parents join the fray. --Antonia
