Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
Somehow Amy Tan's memoir has snuch by many of her fans, which is quite unfortunate because it is truly my favorite of her writings. Tan muses on familiar subjects of her mother and fate vs. faith, but she further fills in her biography with remarkably tragic and comedic memories, including the trouble of being the subject of Cliff Notes ("but I'm not dead yet!" Tan exclaims when she spots her name of the familiar yellow cover). A wonderful memoir by one of our generation's greatest authors. Cressida H. |
