Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
The anxieties and reasons for our group of nine being in the Consulate Office are very real. Their fear of death after the earthquake is real, and their need to appoint a spokesperson to help them work as a group to survive is real. However, it is not until hope is running out, and they begin their tales about “one amazing thing” that happened to them in their past, do we get a glimpse of just how complicated these characters, and people in general really are. It is the story telling that gives the characters their depth and no one is better at story telling than Divakaruni. “One Amazing Thing” is simple, elegant and honest…a great novel. Sina H. |
