I love Emily Gravett's work, she is always just that little bit different, but in this book she has outdone herself!  All the other birds have their eggs and duck wants one too.  One day, he (yes, you read that right, he) finds a beautiful egg for himself and rolls in into the barn.  As all the other eggs hatch, duck looks on at his own big, beautiful egg.  Waiting.  Wondering.  What will hatch?  --Antonia
