No Great Mischief - Kepler's Staff Review

The first time I read Macleod's novel No Great Mischief, I felt homesick for the place I have never been to. I was seduced by the intimacy of MacLeod's storytelling voice built on the oral traditions of Gaelic society, Scottish folklore and modern realism. MacLeod combines history, myth and memory to tell an epic story of the heroic past of the MacDonald family in Nova Scotia. --Aggie Z.
