Reading this book was like having a long and comfortable tea with an interesting and intelligent friend.  I enjoyed Ali-Karamali's independent and relatable voice on matters of faith, history, media and her experiences as an American Muslim woman.  I also valued her reflective and thorough discussion of a myriad of writings on Islam.
