This is the perfect summer read. A coming of age story told by a 13 year old boy with a reclusive single mother. She falls in love with a genuinely good escaped convict and for 5 days, their lives are transformed. A simple plot that’s rich in character development, you end up pulling for them at the end. Have fun with this one.
