This is a historical murder mystery that spans three centuries in Cambridge, England. It centers around Isaac Newton's scientific life and his study of alchemy. It includes wonderful descriptions of 17th century glassmaking as well as the repercussions of the Great Plague. I was a bit slow getting into it, but it did become a page turner, and I was glad I stayed with it.
