The Gardener's Color Palette: Paint Your Garden with 100 Extraordinary Flower Choices - Kepler's Staff Review

Just as the title promises, this book is laid out like a color wheel and the author starts off by saying “Forget sunsets, precious stones & butterflies.  Flowers are nature’s most direct and accessible route to enjoying the pure pleasures of color”. Here! Here! I say.  This little darling of a book is a must have for planning your visually stunning garden spectacular.  Even better, this book is compact and portable, one easily taken to a nursery or  garden shop, so you can pick out these 100 top performing plants.  You will note that Tom Fischer, also provides you with companion plants for these brilliant hues. A few of my favorites form the 100 are: Helleborus (hybridus)   Lenten roseThis seasonally appropriate hardy perennial comes in a wide range of velvety Victorian colors. NicotianaA Lime Green annual flowering tobacco, graceful and nocturnally fragrant. Geretiana sino-ornataThis Chinese autumn gentian is a hardy perennial and comes in the “brightest, purest, most dazzling blue that nature is capable of producing.”

Enjoy your garden!
