Black Widow: Red Vengeance

RSVP HERE.

Calling all fans of Black Widow, Squirrel Girl, A-Force, The Watcher, cosplay and all things Marvel: some of the best creators in the Marvel Universe are coming to Kepler’s and we’re throwing a party to celebrate.

You know her name: Natasha Romanova. You know her code name: Black Widow. You’ve seen her fight alongside Daredevil and Spider-Man in the comics and on the big screen as Scarlett Johansson firing off “widow’s stings” and fighting alongside (and sometimes against) Hawkeye, Captain America and the Winter Soldier. Margaret Stohl, the #1 New York Times-bestselling co-author of the Beautiful Creatures series, brings back Natasha for her second solo adventure in Black Widow: Red Vengeance, the action-packed sequel to the instant New York Times bestseller Black Widow: Forever Red. This time, Stohl takes readers inside the minds of Marvel's most cunning and dangerous spies—Black Widow and Ava Orlova, the equally deadly Red Widow—delving deeper into their powers revealing more than ever before about the infamous assassin and her fledgling hero-in-training. (Don’t call her a sidekick; she hates that.)

Bonus! Margaret is bringing some friends:
  • Shannon Hale is the New York Times bestselling author of the Newbery Honor winner Princess Academy, multiple award-winning Book of a Thousand DaysDangerous, the Books of Bayern series, and the first four Ever After High books. Her novel for adults, Austenland, was made into a movie starring Keri Russell. Shannon and her husband Dean Hale have collaborated on several projects such as Eisner-nominee Rapunzel's Revenge and The Princess in Black series. Their much anticipated  The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Meets World will be published Feb 2017. They are awesome.
  • Ryan North is the creator of Dinosaur Comics, the co-editor of the Machine of Death series, and the author of To Be or Not To Be, the choose-your-own-path version of Hamlet! He has written the Adventure Time comic and writes The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl for Marvel. Also: awesome.
  • Marguerite Bennet is the author of Marvel's A Force - an all female Avengers team and writes for Angela: Queen of Hel (a character originally created by Neil Gaiman). She writes things and wins all the points. Again: awesome.
  • Judy Stephens is a Marvel producer, blogger, photographer, and cosplay expert. She wears things and photographs things and generally dresses much better than anyone else. Awesome - right?

This will be a celebration of all things Marvel. So come in costume (there WILL be prizes).
