Literary Seminar with Kimberly Ford

Tickets are available at Kepler's and online at Brown Paper Tickets

Tuesday, November 29 - Mariette in Ecstasy by Ron Hansen
1-2:30 p.m.

Join us for a special series that will leave you reading in a richer, more fulfilling way.

Midway between the warmest of book clubs and the most elucidating lecture, Kimberly’s seminars entertain, inspire and help you read better.

Combining lively discussion with insightful explication, Kimberly helps her mighty but cozy band of readers delve more deeply into novels—all in a relaxed and entertaining 90-minute session. After her highly successful inaugural series this spring, we couldn’t be more pleased to have her back.

Best-selling author, Ph.D. and former adjunct professor at Berkeley, Kimberly is eager to explore the Fall’s four titles. These novels by Nabokov, Joan Didion, George Saunders and Ron Hansen are complementary and fascinating, each handpicked for its richness and originality, its dark humor or astonishing warmth. (Plus each is SLIM, given the busy nature of Fall on the Peninsula.)

Come for one meeting or indulge in a slightly richer experience (and save a little money) by signing up for all four. Books are included in the price of the seminars and should be picked up at Kepler's (and read) prior to the meeting date.

We know you love books. Sign up now—the class is popular enough to have recently been capped—and join Kimberly to learn to read more deeply while having a seriously good time.

“I joined a seminar last spring with a friend feeling a bit intimidated. The discussion was so eye opening and interesting I couldn't wait for the next session! I now read novels in a new way, much richer, it's a treat!”
