Palo Alto City Library presents a free event with local mystery writer, Keith Raffel, author of the Silicon Valley Thriller series. Smasher, the exciting new novel in the series, unfolds its dramatic plot within Palo Alto's high stakes world of technology companies, Stanford's physics laboratories, and the office of the district attorney. A wide range of readers will enjoy an entertaining evening with this local bestselling author.
Keith Raffel's first novel was Dot Dead. As counsel to the Senate Intelligence Committee, he held a top secret clearance to watch over CIA activities. As a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, he founded UpShot Corporation, the award-winning Internet software company, and sold it to Siebel Systems. He has also been a carpenter, college writing instructor, candidate for elective office, and professional gambler.
