Something Incredibly Wonderful Happens: Frank Oppenheimer and the World He Made Up  BUY NOW

Coyote Point Museum, 1651 Coyote Point Drive, San Mateo

With the 40th anniversary of the Exploratorium in San Francisco coming up in October, science writer K.C. Cole (Mind Over Matter) is back to delight viewers with her very personal biography of the man whose vision and tenacity started it all: Frank Oppenheimer. If you’re Frank Oppenheimer, you use what you’ve learned from art, science, teaching, and ranching to make up your own world--a "museum of human awareness"which is soon copied all over the world. You inspire artists, scientists, politicians, and writers with your unstoppable optimism, your love of humanity and unfettered sense of fun. Most of all, you remind us that the world we live in is one we made up ourselves, and we can remake it better.

SOMETHING INCREDIBLY WONDERFUL HAPPENS: FRANK OPPENHEIMER AND THE WORLD HE MADE UP is the story of how K.C. happened upon this marvelous wizard and his "palace of delights," found a mentor, fell in love with physics, art and the world of Frank, and finally got a chance to tell his tale.
