The Top Five Reasons a Publisher Will Accept or Reject Your Manuscript

An insider's view of writing better and getting published in the turbulent world of the book business today, including tips and techniques regarding these key factors:

  • Your Book Proposal
  • The Strength of Your Platform
  • Are you represented by a Agent
  • Your Ability to Market the Book
  • Your Willingness to Work with An Editor

In addition to a discussion and Q&A, selected proposals that have been submitted by October 23rd will be critiqued anonymously in the group, as an example of how publishers actually evaluate submissions. These proposals should be no longer than 15 pages total, and consist of a one page hook/overview, a three page chapter outline, one page each for Platform and Competition, and the balance in sample manuscript.

Send proposals to alan@alanrinzler.com with "Kepler's Proposal" in the subject line.
