Rev. McLennan, Stanford's Dean of Religious Life, was the model for Rev. Scott Sloan in "Doonesbury" after rooming with Gary Trudeau at Yale. He has a J.D. and M.Div. from Harvard and is a lawyer who pursued a "legal ministry" for years in a low-income Boston neighborhood.

Scotty is a compelling writer and dynamic speaker and this is not to be missed by liberals, conservatives, radicals and/or atheists!
