    Kickoff Event for "One Book One Community: San Mateo County Reads" 2009 Thursday, October 1, 7:00 p.m. Mistress of Spices  BUY NOW San Mateo Performing Arts Center, 600 N. Delaware St., San Mateo Free and open to the public Chitra Divakaruni will appear with KALW public radio's "New America Now" host Sandip Roy. Roy will explore with Divakaruni the characters, themes and storylines of The Mistress of Spices. This event includes audience Q & A and book sales and signings by Ms. Divakaruni.
