The Duchess of Whimsey - Kepler's Staff Review

The Duchess of Whimsy is known for her fantastic gowns, her decadent parties, and her fabulous friends. She is extravagant, unusual, flamboyant, in short, anything but ordinary. Her neighber, the Earl of Norm (whom her father insists she must be polite to) is nothing but ordinary. The poor earl wants nothing more than to impress the duchess but all of his attempts fall flat...until the day the royal cook falls ill.Through the gastronomic delight of a simple grilled cheese sandwich the duchess discovers that the ordinary can be quite extraordinary.Peter de Seve is a BRILLAINT illustrator. You have probably seen some of the covers he has done for the New Yorker and the characters he has designed for various animated films, including Finding Nemo and Ice Age. His characters are full of life and brilliant details and their faces are full of, well, for lack of a better word character.

The de Seves have crafted an absolutely charming tale that will hopefully be followed by many more.
