Cycling Anatomy - Kepler's Staff Review

A book every cyclist from novice to expert should own.

Doctor Shannon Sovndal is an avid cyclist and as a cycling team doctor he has developed a program of strength training exercises:  seventy-four exercises in all that will improve any cyclist’s strength and optimize the efficiency while riding any terrain.  Shannon points out that it is not just the legs that power a cyclist, but every muscle group in the body is involved in both road racing and mountain biking.  Although I ride a minimum of 20 miles a day each day of the year, I use the exercises in Cycling Anatomy to target specific muscle groups that need extra work.  The illustrations help explain what muscle groups are used in each cycling movement and how each exercise affects them.  If you prepare your body for riding, you will reduce the chance for injury and make riding a bicycle as enjoyable as watching a bike race.
