The Crying Tree - Kepler's Staff Review

Nate Stanley decides to uproot his contented family from their quiet farm life in Illinois to the high desert in Oregon because of a job opportunity. Though his wife Irene is opposed to the idea, they follow through and move with their two teenage children, Bliss and Shep.

Shortly after the move, Shep is found dead in an apparent home burglary. What follows is years of learning to cope with the loss, and deal with the man on death row convicted of the murder.

But this is a man and wife who are both harboring secrets. As the execution date draws near, truths will be revealed that will rock the couple’s foundation.

This is a heart wrenching story about love and loss, hatred and forgiveness. And it’s about the power of truth and forgiveness. I was genuinely moved by this book.
