Bradley McGogg: the Very Fine Frog

I love books with internal rhyme in each line, and this is one such book

"Bradley McGogg was a very fine frog
Who happily napped in a hollowed-out log.

This log in a bog, where our frog spent his days,
Was a pad Brad had had since his pollywog phase."

One day Bradley realizes that he is a wee bit peckish, but doesn't have anything on his shelves to eat. Rather than going out to find his own delicious bugs and grubs to eat, Bradley decides that he is going to "mooch" off his neighbours!  What he doesn't realize is all the different foods his neighbours eat, most of which he finds absolutely disgusting.  I mean, really, how could Miss Mouse stomach rye crackers and cheese...ugghh!!!  And Bear and Rabbit:  honey and carrots?  Eeewwww!!!

Bradley, of course, was very well brought up and had to figure out how on earth to refuse the disgusting offerings without being rude.
