Kepler's 2020 Project in the News:
This is a collection both sardonic and feeble, yet humorous and always
honest. Aryn Kyle has written stories that address the heart, our idiosyncrasies,
human nature, and everything we call an “ordinary” life. Her characters
are girls and boys on the verge in every sense and in every light. She
tells it bitterly, but always with truth. I gave myself a little time
in between each story to collect my thoughts and laugh at my own ugly
and beautiful. Oh, what complex creatures we are. Some notable stories
include: "Company of Strangers,” “Captain's Club,” and the
title story, "Boys and Girls Like You and Me."
Ms. Kyle is not to be missed, especially if you are as new to short stories as I am. This is a wonderful introduction to the genre, as is Miranda July's No One Belongs Here More Than You. |
