This book about the magic of reading has not a single word in it. Two kids on their grandpa’s sofa are quite grumpy. But when he lets them into the attic they find a book whose pages expand into a giant map, like an unraveling origami quilt of magical squares each presenting scene from a fantastic adventure that they can JUMP right into! They find pirates, castles, sharks and dragons; and most astonishingly, they discover an end to boredom for life!
When we learn how to read, we acquire the ability to travel though time, into adventure, beyond the worlds we know. Pick up this book and ask a child to “read” it to you.
