Billy Twitters is an average boy growing up in San Francisco. That is, until his mother says, "Billy Twitters, clean your room or we're getting you a blue whale."Billy knows that she can't be telling the truth because blue whales are, well, huge. But then, lo and behold, Mom makes good on her threat and the FedUp truck arrives with a delivery for Billy... Hilarity ensues.
Rex's surreal illustrations are genius. His attention to detail and wit are evident throughout the story and even extend to the end papers. Barnett and Rex have created a rare treat, a book that is entertaining and legitimately funny for both children and adults. Reviewed by Shannon |
