In a logical, clear-thinking, pre-911 world Boy Hernandez would be madly filling orders with his newly established women’s fashion line, (B)oy for Bergdorf-Goodman, Bloomingdale’s and other trend setting hotspots. But in this post-911 world of fast and at times, sloppy security work, Boy’s been thrown into Gitmo for allegedly assisting terrorists by funneling money through his clothing design studio. HA!
This baby board book takes my favorite nursery rhyme and turns it into a beautifully-illustrated, fun story that will warm your heart as only wool can! Ms. Sheep is a very giving little sheep. However, out of all her neighbors' requests for wool she is only able to fill the master's, the dame's, and the little boy who lives down the lane's.
After walking through town to let her other neighbors know that she can't really help them, they come to her house and ask her why she never lends them a hand, only to find that busy Ms. Sheep had been knitting gifts for them all along! Mittens for the kittens, a hat for the pigs, a sweater for the dog, a shawl for the red bird and more!
As an avid knitter, I loved this book. It playfully introduces young children not just to sheep, but also to giving and creating.
