Ernest is a good boy who, like all good children, helps his mother and minds his mother and asks his mother for permission before doing anything. Ernest is a good boy, and like all good boys he asks his mother before riding out to meet the new neighbors. Vlapid is a good boy too - he helps his mother and minds his mother, and he likes to play with Ernest.Now, this is the point at which Ernest's mother might have thought to meet Vlapid's mother. After all, not all mothers agree on what is helpful, or mindful, or even what to say yes to! Good boys are, in the grand scheme of things, relative. But Ernest's mother doesn't need to know that. Accompanied by Kyle M. Stone's illustrations, Heide and Pierce have created a deliciously tongue-in-cheek treatise on behavior that will have both moms and kids rolling on the floor - but only, of course, if that is what you do in your house.
