How much should you write in a journal? Mary Lou Finney starts one over the summer but has no idea she would have so much to write about. So much that she has to beg the teacher not to read it. She tells us about her cousin, Carl Ray, who comes to stay, her friendship with Alex, and about her boy-crazy best friend. All this as she reads The Odyssey and sees her own life reflected in it.
